Celebrating over 60 years of design excellence, Inform proudly unveils its new brand identity, a reflection of both its rich heritage and forward-thinking innovation. This refreshed identity was conceptually developed in collaboration with Vancouver-based design company, Information Office.

Through strategies rooted in modern design principles, technical precision, and accessibility, the new identity—complete with a refined business name, logo, and spatially conscious applications—prioritizes beautiful proportions within spatial contexts, embodying elegance and clarity.

Brand

The new Inform wordmark and typeface express an elegant homage to the 1960s International Style, while remaining contemporary through its technical precision and subtle idiosyncratic tension. This oscillation between honouring our history and looking toward the future guided the design process. The outcome is a thoughtfully crafted identity that not only preserves Inform’s long-standing reputation for excellence but also resonates with a new audience, merging beauty with functionality.

The award-winning design studio Civilization played a pivotal role in translating this design language into a cohesive visual system on the website. Their expertise brought the identity to life, ensuring that every aspect reflects Inform’s philosophy and approach.

Established in 1963 and renowned globally as one of the top five design shops, Inform specializes in contemporary furniture, lighting, and accessories. Beyond its role as a retail space, Inform fosters a vibrant community for design, architecture, and art enthusiasts.
