Milan Design Week
24/04/25

With yet another Salone in the books, here's a look back at some of the standout moments from this years visit to Italy.
Euroluce
One of the standout moments at Salone this year was Euroluce—the definitive biennial exhibition dedicated to the art and innovation of lighting design. Held every second year during Milan Design Week, Euroluce brings together the world’s leading lighting brands and visionary industrial designers to showcase the latest in technology, research, and sustainable thinking. It’s not just a show—it’s the stage where the future of illumination takes place. While the sheer number of vendors to explore feels endless, and weaving through the packed halls is an experience in itself, the Inform team made it through all the must-see stops and even uncovered a few unexpected gems along the way.
Here are some of our favourite exhibits from Euroluce:
Salone del Mobile
With Euroluce covered, the rest of the fair unfolds as a vibrant hub of experimentation and creative exchange—a meeting point for fresh ideas and bold reflections on the future of design. It’s a curated world of furniture, objects, and accessories, all staged in singular and immersive settings. A true wonderland for designers and design enthusiasts alike.

In Town
Saving the best for last, what truly captivated us in Milan were the showrooms and exhibitions scattered throughout the city. Beyond the bustling fairgrounds, these hidden gems offered a more intimate and inspiring experience. After a couple of whirlwind days navigating the crowds and chaos of the fair, it was a welcome shift to slow down, wander the streets like a tourist, and take in the design scene at a more considerate pace. Additionally, breaking for lunch became a highlight in itself—indulging in the local restaurant scene was worlds apart from the rushed options at the fair. A leisurely meal in a tucked-away trattoria made the day feel less like work and more like a Milanese escape.
