Originally designed in the 1940s, based on sketches made by Charlotte Perriand, while in Japan, the Vase à fleurs échancré is now being introduced by Cassina for the first time ever. Tactile and essential, this vase is made entirely of glass blown in a cast-iron mould and then reworked by hand by skilled artisans. The latter step gives shape to deliberately uneven lines that emphasise the uniqueness of the vase. The generous thickness of the rounded border further accentuates the sophisticated tactile nature of the vase. Vase à fleurs échancré comes in three colours – transparent, yellow or blue – that highlight its distinctive characteristics.
