Van Mierlo studied at Design Academy Eindhoven and graduated cum laude in 2008. He works with various mediums but starts his process mostly with drawing or painting. Control – or the absence of it – is an important part of his work.

He is best known for his picture book ‘Wild Animals’, which won a Dutch Design Award in 2011. Van Mierlo is intrigued by the human need to control nature. Using a wet-on-wet technique, he paints animals that he can’t control.

Framed: 69.9 x 52 x 2.2 cm.

Poster produced in the Netherlands using HP Indigo printing onto 170 gsm MultiDesign Natural uncoated paper, with blind embossed text. Optional custom-made white frame with plexiglass using an acrylic glazing that is optically the same as glass. Unframed rolled posters come with a packing/shipping tube.

Posters are embossed with the logo, title and artist's name, as a quality mark that doesn’t compromise the poster's appearance.
