Vilhelm Lauritzen
Vilhelm Theodor Lauritzen (1894-1984) was a pioneer of Danish modernism, known for his innovative approach where form followed function. His notable work includes the first terminal at Copenhagen Airport, now called the Vilhelm Lauritzen Terminal. Designed in 1936, it was among the first to separate land and air functions, a layout that still influences modern airports. Lauritzen also contributed significantly to interior design, creating everything from hardware to lighting and furniture, often in collaboration with architect Finn Juhl.
