Tokujin Yoshioka
Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka (1967–) worked with Shiro Kuramata and Issey Miyake before founding his own studio in 2000. Active in design, architecture, and contemporary art, he is highly appreciated worldwide for his works that deal with light and nature. The Water Block glass bench on display at the Musée d'Orsay and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch are some of his many iconic works. World-renowned museums, including MoMA, Musée National d'Art Moderne, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, have selected his designs for their permanent collections.
