Tobia Scarpa
Tobia Scarpa (1935–) is an acclaimed Italian designer and architect trained in Venice. Tobia, the son of the renowned architect Carlo Scarpa, started his career designing furniture, lighting, and glass objects, influenced by Le Corbusier's modernist principles. Alongside his wife, Afra, he created iconic designs for top Italian brands. In architecture, he is noted for the Benetton Group complex in Castrette di Villorba, Treviso, an exemplary work of industrial architecture. Scarpa's designs, featured in major museums, earned him the Compass d'Oro award in 2008, honoring his influential career.
