Pierre Paulin (1927-2009) was a French designer recognized as a pioneer in modern furniture design. He developed an extensive collection of modernist chairs characterized by organic shapes and vibrant colours. His work was often inspired by Japanese and Scandinavian design and the styles of Charles and Ray Eames. Early in his career, Paulin explored ceramics, sculpture, and automobile design. Today, the family business Paulin, Paulin, Paulin continues to preserve and promote Pierre Paulin's legacy.
