Naoto Fukasawa
Naoto Fukasawa (1956) graduated from Tama Art University's Product Design Department in 1980. He joined Seiko Epson that year, focusing on advanced development design, before moving to the U.S. in 1989 to work at ID Two (now IDEO San Francisco). After returning to Japan in 1996, he established IDEO's Tokyo office and went independent in 2003, founding Naoto Fukasawa Design. Fukasawa now collaborates with leading brands worldwide across various fields, including electronics, furniture, and architecture. In 2006, he co-organized the exhibition Super Normal with designer Jasper Morrison, showcasing the beauty of understated design.
