Miguel Milá
Miguel Milá (1931-2024) was a pivotal figure in Spanish contemporary design, emerging from the pioneering generation of the 1950s. Starting as an interior designer in his brother Alfonso’s architecture studio. Although he faced resource shortages, he created lamps and furniture, founding Tramo with architects F. Ribas Barangé and E. Pérez Ullibari. Tramo produced iconic designs like the TMC and TMM lamps, which are still popular today. Milá later established his own design studio and played a key role in founding ADI-FAD, an association that promotes Spanish design internationally and connects young professionals with global trends.
