Michele De Lucchi & Huub Ubbens
Michele De Lucchi (1951-) is an Italian architect-designer. After his studies, he collaborated with the radical group Cavart before joining Studio Alchimia. In 1980, he co-founded the postmodern group Memphis, challenging traditional design with bold colours and shapes. From 1992 to 2002, he was Director of Design for Olivetti. - Huub Ubbens (1964-) is a Dutch designer who established his studio in Montpellier, France, in 2010. After graduating from Amsterdam’s Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 1993, he became head of design at Artemide and art director for Danese while also freelancing on lighting, furniture, and medical design. He also serves as a professor at prominent international universities.
