Maria Berntsen

Danish industrial designer Maria Berntsen studied at the Academy of Art in Copenhagen and L'École d'Architecture de Bordeaux. Since 1992, when she established her own studio in Copenhagen, she has taught at the Danish Design School and worked as an industrial designer. Her portfolio includes jewellery, furniture, lighting, and homeware. Berntsen has collaborated with various Danish and international companies. She believes good design should be simple and functional, stating, "...You should feel compelled to touch the design and find joy in having it as part of your daily life."
