Konstantin Grcic

Konstantin Grcic (1965-) trained as a cabinet maker at The John Makepeace School for Craftsmen in Wood before studying Design at the Royal College of Art in London. He established his practice in 1991 and is now based in Berlin, creating furniture, products, and lighting for leading design companies. Grcic defines function in human terms, blending formal rigour with mental insight and humour. His work reflects thorough research into art, design, and architecture history, alongside a passion for technology and materials. He has also collaborated with prestigious institutions like the Venice Architecture Biennial and the Vitra Design Museum.
