Kate Hume

Kate Hume has been a leading figure in international interior design for over 20 years. Based in Amsterdam, her multilingual practice has successfully crafted an impressive array of spaces. While predominantly recognized for her interior designs, Kate's journey in the creative world began with her exploration of glassmaking. She initially created a series of mouth-blown glass pieces out of curiosity, which quickly garnered attention. Since 1998, Kate has produced nearly 1,000 unique glass pieces, each designed to be part of cohesive groupings. Her glasswork is characterized by jewel-like colour combinations inspired by nature and the material's inherent unpredictability.
