Jordi Miralbell & Mariona Raventós

Designers Jordi Miralbell (1953-) and Mariona Raventós (1955-) graduated from the Elisava Design School in Barcelona. In 1979, they founded their design studio, M&J, focusing on interior and graphic design. By the 1980s, their interdisciplinary approach expanded to include advertising, photography, film, and theatre, aiming to create functional yet elegant designs. In 1989, they joined Santa & Cole's design team, and two years later, they became partners. Their collaboration led to the creation of several iconic pieces, including the Pie de Garza lamp, the Dórica lamp, the Disco series, and adjustable Sistema Matricial lights.
