Jasper Morisson
Jasper Morrison (1959–) is a prominent British designer known for his innovative approach to furniture, lighting, tableware, and everyday products. In 1986, he established his Office for Design in London, still his creative base. Morrison initially gained recognition in the 80s with designs like the Thinking Man’s Chair and the Plywood Chair, which stripped furniture down to its essential forms. His work emphasizes simplicity and functionality, creating pieces seamlessly integrating into everyday life. In 2006, he co-organized the exhibition Super Normal in Japan with designer Naoto Fukasawa (1963-), showcasing the beauty of understated design. Morrison’s ability to blend simplicity with character has solidified his reputation as a key figure in contemporary design.
