Eero Aarnio

Finnish designer Eero Aarnio (1932-) is a pioneer of modern furniture design. In the 1960s, he began exploring plastics, vibrant colours, and organic shapes, challenging traditional design conventions. His iconic creations, such as the Ball, Pastil, and Bubble chairs, reflect popular culture and spirit of their era. Aarnio's work is featured in some of the world's most prestigious museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, MoMA in New York, and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.
