Aldo Rossi

Aldo Rossi (1931–1997) achieved recognition as a theorist, author, artist, teacher and architect. A key figure of postmodernism and a founder of the neo-rationalism movement, Rossi was known for his designs based on repetitive, simple forms informed by rational modernism and archetypal historical architecture. In 1990, Rossi received the Pritzker Prize.
