Studio MK27

Studio MK27, located in the bustling city of São Paulo, was founded in the late 1970s by architect Marcio Kogan. The firm, now comprised of thirty architects and various international collaborators, inspired by the Brazilian modernist generation, seeks to rethink and give continuity to this iconic architectural movement. In 2001, Kogan shifted how the office approached projects from a traditional methodology to a co-creative and cooperative work system. This change led to the firm receiving over 250 national and international awards for their projects. In 2012, Studio MK27 represented Brazil at the Venice Biennale. Kogan was awarded an honorary membership of the American Institute of Architecture, professor at Escola da Cidade in São Paulo and Politecnico di Milano, one of the 100 Most Influential People in Brazil by Época magazine, included in Wallpaper’s 150 Famous for 15 years, and placed 39th in Dezeen's Hot List 2017.
